Design on Dragon
Get out those fashionable flat fall boots (perfect for an outdoor evening on your feet) and prepare yourself for yet another evening of food, wine, art and design at Thursday’s Design on Dragon street festival in the Design District. You know the routine; 24 galleries and showrooms open to the public for an evening of shopping and mingling.

The Downtown River Band will play live and Wendy Krispin Catering, Margaux’s, Blue Mesa, and Urbino Pizza will be dishing out fabulous fare. Drinks will be served inside each showroom and gallery.

Parking will be available at 1444 Oak Lawn where shuttles will be available to take you to the center of the action.

Guests are asked to bring art supplies to donate to Big Thought, a great non-profit whose mission is to make imagination a part of everyday learning. (Seriously, check out their website. This Dallas-based NPO has got it going on!) Check out their “Wish List” below for ideas:

Construction Paper – Any colors Manila Paper
Notebook Paper #2 Pencils
Crayons Paint – Watercolors, Tempera, Acrylics
Canvases – For Acrylic Painting Sketch Pads
Paint Brushes Assorted Beads
Cord for Bead Stringing Craft Foam Sheets
Craft Foam Cut Outs Pipe Cleaners
Washable Markers Tissue Paper
Play Dough

The forecast for Thursday is clear with temps in the 60s – could there be a better outlook for a fall street fair? Doubtful. So be there or be square!

Design on Dragon is produced and sponsored by Modern Luxury Dallas, Park Place, and the Dragon Street Association.
