You sleep in every day, your “palace” is spotless, and you’re in the best shape of your life. Not bad! But no, you’re not Mariah Carey; you’re unemployed. And a few other tiny problems: your unemployment runs out soon, you’re getting bored of eating PB&Js, and the job market is kinda rough right now.
But hey, cheer up; I’ve got some good news for you! The folks with Career Connection’s Architecture and Interior Design Group decided to put their free time to good use and organize a career fair targeted towards the design professional industry.
The “Professional Showcase” will take place next Thursday, November 5th in the heart of the Design District at the Dallas Decorative Center from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Seventeen design and architecture firms are scheduled to attend.
Eleven showrooms will open their doors to employers and job seekers alike. So you can browse the newest decorative furnishings and pass out a few resumes at the same time.
Registration will be set up at Suite 260 in the Decorative Center. Sign in there, put your brave face on, and get to it!
And after the Career Fair, reward yourself for a long evening of hand shaking and schmoozing by stopping by Dragon Street for a free cocktail and a little shopping at “Design on Dragon.”

Kendall, nobody from this job event has joined the linked in group yet. The linked in group is permanent and lets people who show up once at a career fair have their career info permanently “attached” to a group that is completely focused on business in their industry.
