LOL’s Newest Gallery: Goss-Michael Foundation

By on May 03, 2010 • One Comment (give us yours!)

It’s official; one of Dallas’ hottest art galleries, The Goss-Michael Foundation, is packing up and moving to LOL. I don’t know about you, but we’re beyond excited!

The foundation’s new home will be located at 1405 Turtle Creek Blvd, behind the Alexan Design District apartments. The edgy converted warehouse spans 12,00 square feet. It is going to be one seriously cool space to view art!

The Goss-Michael Foundation was founded in June 2007 George Michael (yes, that George Michael) and his partner Kenny Goss who are avid art lovers and collectors. Their goal for the foundation is to provide a forum for British Contemporary art by presenting exhibitions, programs and resources to educate, engage, and inspire youth and adult audiences in the Dallas area and abroad. Hopefully their new, larger space will help them in achieving that goal!

According to the GMF website, they will be working this summer to renovate the space and will reopen with their inaugural exhibit this fall. Stay tuned to LowerOakLawn.com for more GMF updates!
