It’s that time of week again! Hump day. Or also known as Rare Cask Day at The Meddlesome Moth. This time I’ll let Captain Keith give you the scoop on this week’s beer, Real Ale EBS, brought to you by Real Ale Brewing Co. out of Blanco, Texas.

Still thirsty for more? I thought so. Here’s a little taste of what this cask-conditioned brew has to offer. From the Real Ale website:

Real Ale Brewing ESB (Extra Special Bitter)Real Ale ESB pours a deep copper color and has an enticing aroma of fruit and caramel, with a subtle earthiness. A medium-bodied ale, our ESB showcases the fruitiness of our house yeast, along with the rich toffee flavors of English crystal malt. Added complexity is provided by a generous amount of English hops. Real Ale ESB finishes slightly dry with a mild spiciness that beckons another pint.

With the hints of caramel and toffee, it sound like a great pour for the first day in September!
One quick programming note, today the Dallas Contemporary’s y@161 is hosting their kickoff party (details here) at The Moth. So be ready for a crowd. Cask is tapped at 5:00 pm sharp. Be there or be square.
