Recently I’ve been incredibly inspired by Dallas blogger Kelly and her blog, Fabulous K. Kelly has done some fabulous posts about decorating with black, white and yellow which is probably why I was so drawn to these super cute black and white chairs.

I spotted the chair on the left in Luxe Magazine on an ad for Kravet. The chic black armchair on the right is currently featured in Scott+Cooner’s Hi Line/Slocum St. window display which I drive by every day on the way to the office. The chair is part of Mooi’s Smoke collection. Incredibly, the chairs are actually set on fire before being painted and upholstered! How cool is that?! You really have to see them up close to appreciate them.

I found these two in my search for the Smoke chair on the S+C website. I particularly love the feminine touch that the swirly arms bring to the garbo chair on the right.

These last two are some of my personal favs. The one on the left would look so perfect in black in my little home office nook! These chairs are part of the Louis collection by SixInch and are available from Positive Space, a Design District showroom that I haven’t had the opportunity to check out yet. The Louis collection also offers frames, tables, couches and mirrors in the same style and lots of bright colors, including black. Check out their site for tons more pics!

When decorating with black and white it’s usually a good idea to choose accent color to tie into your room. Oftentimes, black and white can be too harsh if left by itself.
