Bond has Q, the rest of us have Herman Miller

I don’t know about you but I sure spend a lot of time in front of my computer. This morning I was shifting uncomfortably in my office chair while browsing my daily blog reading list when a video on the Herman Miller Discover blog caught my eye. The video demonstrates the HM Envelop desk in action.

Not only is it a super cute and well composed video, but the desk looks like an office dwellers dream! A desk that moves instead of forcing you to move. Genius!

Apparently the desk caused some serious buzz at the recent Consumer Electronic Show CES) in Las Vegas, and has since been featured on several popular blogs including Gizmodo, Uncrate, and PhotoInduced.

After a quick email to the Herman Miller showroom in the Dallas Design District, I learned that they have a floor model out for anyone to come and try for themselves. Something I’ll probably have to check out pretty soon!

My fascination with the desk led me to check out the site listed in the credits, TheBeCollection.com, which is dedicated to Herman Miller’s line of products geared towards “personal comfort” in the office. In checking out their webesodes, I came across an amazing product — The Babble.

Check out the video; it’s hilarious. And the product is so completely practical I really wish I would have thought of it!

Check out these cool office gadgets and more at the Dallas Herman Miller showroom:
