It’s a new year, and thus once again time for new exhibit openings in the Dallas Design District! Grab your favorite art-loving friends and your umbrella and head out for a Saturday night of art and culture in LOL!

Highlights of this month’s exhibit openings: (1) The Cameron Gallery is closing it’s Living Well exhibit from New Orleans based painter James Michalopoulos. If you haven’t been in to see his expressionistic, colorful paintings, do it. Trust me! (2) pARTners at the Cohn Drennan Contemporary is an exhibition of work by couples who make art, exploring whether the artist-artist relationship can visually represent the differences, similarities, inspirations and stimuli of pARTners in the arts. Sounds like a date-worthy excursion! (3) Joshua Saunders has taken over the project room at Conduit Gallery, using decades-old advertisements, thrown-away documents and other pieces of disposable Americana to create his collages. The works are hilarious, and sometimes shocking. (4) Don’t miss the artist talk and Q&A with Frank X. Tolbert II. whose exhibit is currently on display at HCG Gallery.
