Four Party Perfect Patio Sets and Recipes for Al Fresco Entertaining

By on Aug 24, 2011 • 2 Comments (give us yours!)

With the change of seasons just around the corner I’ve found myself daydreaming of all the outdoor entertaining I’ll be doing this fall. After a visit to McGannon Showrooms last week, I was inspired to put together a few pictures of pretty patios and recipes for fall parties I plan to host.

There are tons of different finishes and fabrics for each patio set and, lucky for you, McGannon is having a sale on all custom outdoor orders and floor samples through the end of August. Primp your patio just in time for outdoor entertaining season!

What fall parties are you planning to host? Add more ideas to the comments!

1. Al Fresco Dinner Party – What better entertaining endeavor to start with than an al fresco dinner party? Grilling up some of the season’s ripe vegetables and gathering with friends sounds like a super way to send off summer. With these cute and comfy chairs, your guests are sure to stay gathered around the table for quite a while.

2. Game Day Soiree – Mount a TV on your back porch and the patio becomes the perfect place to watch the big game. This cozy wicker couch and chair set are a great place to kick back and take in some pigskin. The coffee table provides ample room for a scrumptious spread of finger foods!

3. Wine and Cheese Happy Hour – Entertaining doesn’t have to be reserved for weekends. A post-work wine and cheese get together on the back porch would fit perfectly with this rounded pool side patio set. The u-shaped design makes for easy conversation and allows everyone easy access to the food without too much reaching.

4. Smore-licious Backyard Bash – I couldn’t mention outdoor entertaining without throwing in a party centered around one of my favorite desserts: smores! Place these elegant wrought-iron lounge chairs around the fire, heat up some ‘mallows and take a bite! This kid-friendly bash is perfect for fall’s cooler weather.

I really like the combination of the patio set with an actual recipe! They complement each other so nicely. And, we all know that having food makes for a good time and a comfortable, attractive, durable patio set can make it even better!
