Whether you’re an interior designer, decorator, architect, design blogger or merely a design enthusiast, this year’s Celebration of Design has something for you. From cocktail parties and luncheons to CEU classes and a killer keynote speaker, this week of inspired learning will prove that design really is something to celebrate!
This year’s event will kick off with a swanky cocktail party on Tuesday, October 11 at Henredon, featuring special guest William Li, VP of Marketing, Communications and Trade Showrooms for Ralph Lauren Home.
The focus of day one is learning, with Pettigrew, Ann Sacks and Miele hosting CEU credit classes on sustainability, sleep and trends presented by Deborah Burnett and Jeff Hiller. Taking in all that information can sure spark an appetite, so a complimentary lunch will be served at the Poggenpohl Kitchen Centre. In the afternoon, McGannon Showrooms will host an inspiring seminar teaching 10 Steps to Becoming More Creative. The day will wrap up with a coffee crash course at Miele where you can mix, mingle and savor some of their flavorful brews.

The fun continues on Thursday, leading off with a panel on the Evolution of Design presented by Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine. After another complimentary lunch at National Office Furniture guests are invited to hear keynote speaker Alexa Hampton at Brown Jordan.
The rest of the afternoon is dedicated to more elective courses, including Blogging 101: Using Blogging as a Business Tool, presented by designer Beth Dotolo. The profits from the $5 recommended donations will go to support Dwell with Dignity.
The event will wrap up with a happy hour at Luxury Living | FENDI Casa.
If you’re not tired yet, stick around the Design District for Slocum Street’s annual Slocum Street Style street stroll which will be hosted the evening of October 13.
