Two Colorful ways to earn your CEU Credits

By on Sep 12, 2011 • No Comments (give us yours!)

This month COLOR is the hot topic as the Dallas Design Center presents a spectrum of color-focused events for designers and decorators. Both courses offer CEU credits and a wealth of information on how to use color to your full advantage.

Become a Certified Color Consultant

Up first is a unique opportunity to become a Certified Color Consultant. This interactive, two-day class hosted September 26 & 27 at the Dallas Design Center promises to unlock the secrets of color and teach designers innovative ways to capture new clients. The only Color Consultation Certification program accredited by the top professional design organizations (ASID, NKBA, IDCEC ASID, IIDA, IDC, and IDEC), designers can earn  .8 CEUs or 8 credit hours.

This class provides a solid foundation for color expertise. The class features topics, including:

  • Mastering the art of combining colors and creating schemes
  • Learning how people react to color and why
  • Uncovering the secrets to infusing emotion into your designs with color
  • Discovering the color your client really wants even when she doesn’t know herself
  • Coloring your future successful with ongoing support, benefits, and education
And that’s just the start. For more information and to register go to www.colorconsultantcertification.com or contact Kiki Titterud, co-creator and co-author of the SCfYH Color Certification program via email kiki@colorforyourhome.com or by phone 612.242.4571.

Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2012

Up next is Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2012, an annual seminar hosted by Robert Allen | Beacon Hill. This year’s event will be presented on September 28 at 10:00 am. Sherwin-Williams’ Color Marketing Director Jackie Jordan will be on hand to present an exciting color trend forecast inspired by the core palettes found in nature. CEU-accredited (0.1 units), designers will enjoy a visual journey of color and a light brunch.

The event is free but the folks at RABH ask that you please RSVP by September 23 to dallasevents@robertallendesign.com.
